Every day is a shopping day in Marmaris, from early morning until late at night. With it’s vast covered bazaar and boutique-filled streets and malls, Marmaris town is truly a shopper’s paradise. Traditional, locally-made handicrafts such as embroidered textiles and cotton towels, colourful and exotic woven kilims, bright and beautiful hand-painted ceramics, sumptuous leather goods, gold and silver, onyx and copper, delicious local pine honey and trays of delicious Turkish delight adorn shop windows in the large covered bazaar. Warm and hospitable shopkeepers offer cold refreshments or glasses of traditional apple tea as you browse and choose gifts for those back home or treats yourself.
 

Many goods are already great value, but some prices, especially those for carpets, kilims and leather goods, are still open to some bargaining, and friendly haggling is both accepted and expected!
