Marmaris Cruise Port complies fully with all the requirements of the ISPS code, providing a very secure environment both for passengers and cruise vessels. Adjacent to the port is the coastguard headquarters for South-West Turkey, with whom the Marmaris Cruise Port Security Officer has constant dialogue regarding cruise traffic in Marmaris. As well as routine checks of passengers and vehicles by means of modern, shore side detection devices, cruise vessels berthed on the piers can be isolated from sea traffic in the bay by floating metal barriers surrounding them throughout the duration of the call.
